new studio, here I come!

studio office space inspiration from blog.cleanlinestudio.com Hey Guys! So it’s official! At the beginning of February, I’ll be moving into a studio space! I’m really excited to take this step in growing my business. Next week I’ll probably tell ya about my goals, dreams and fears for this space, but today I just wanted to share how I want it to look and feel. After all, the decorating is the fun part, isn’t it? I’m going for bright, airy, welcoming, and most importantly, conducive to getting work done!

Kind of unrelated, but do you think there’s any advantage to having a rolling chair? I’m looking to invest in a new one, and the ones I like tend to be sans-wheels!

Have a very lovely weekend, and stay warm!

Thanks so much, Stacy! We’ll be doing a photo shoot in the space as soon as I’mm all set up, so you’ll get to see it relatively soon!

Wow, so exciting!! (we both have big news today eh? thanks for the comment) I got that tape dispenser for Christmas (among other Poppin awesomeness) and love it.

I love your moodboard! Looks like your studio is going to be beautiful (: I personally do not think that wheels are necessary… Without wheels, I feel calmer and more prone to sit still and get work done. Can’t wait to see your space!

Love these picks, especially that rolling drawer cabinet and that mug! I am constantly trying to revamp my workspace — a fresh, inspiring space just lends itself to better and prettier work, no? Lovely roundup, thanks for sharing!

Absolutely! Thanks for joining the conversation, Mary! I agree that a lovely workspace feels more inspiring. One of my highest priorities for this space was loads of natural light, which will be awesome for blog photography! I haven’t had the luxury of natural light in my office up to this point, so I’m really looking forward to it!

I love that minty green! It’s such a great partner to the peachy blush and light wood tones. 🙂

To add some ideas to the wheels vs. no-wheels discussion: it’s important to consider how you work. Will you be getting up often to move between workstations or for breaks, or turning around often to talk to someone else? If this is the case, wheels (or even just a swivel chair, provided it’s the right size to sit close enough to your desk) could be very useful. Also, when sitting on a 4-legged chair, it can be particularly difficult to move in and out if you have a rug or carpet underneath. Whether or not you have a rug, if you do choose to have a no-wheels chair, I think you’re on the right track with the style of legs that are on the wire chair you’ve featured. I’m sitting on something similar now, and they slide much easier. Just watch out for those non-slip gliders though – you may find yourself wedged under your desk permanently! 😉

    Hope that helps. 🙂
