Whew! It’s been quite a year, you guys! I realize I sound like a total old lady when I say this, but it’s shocking how each year goes by faster than the last! A lot happened this year both personally and professionally. I’ll be delving into my goals for the coming year next week, but for right now I just want to relive some of my favorite posts from 2014. One of my favorite things about blogging is that it documents my life, and makes it so easy to look back with fondness. It really has been a good year, and I hope you’re feeling the same way thinking about yours. Have a nice weekend!

favorite posts of 2014 The 52 project is actually a whole category of posts, but I just couldn’t decide on a single week to call my favorite! A lot of you told me how much you enjoyed this series, and I’m sorry I wasn’t able to follow through for all 52 weeks. The most positive thing about this project was that it forced to get really comfortable with my camera, and take a LOT of pictures. While I don’t plan to continue this series next year, I will still post photos regularly, especially when we do something awesome as a family! You can see a few of my favorite 52 project posts here, here, here, here and here!

favorite posts of 2014 Thanks to the help of my very talented developer Lisa, the new website I designed for my blog and business because a reality! It took several months of hard work to get this baby up and running, and I’m pleased to say that I still love how it looks. The work of a designer is never done, so I’ll be making some small tweaks throughout the year, but it’s such a relief to say with confidence that I’m finally resolved in my aesthetic for my blog and business. Do you need a new website this year? If you’re interested in speaking with me about design services you can visit my portfolio, or contact me here.

favorite posts of 2014 In September, I hosted my first event, the Philly Calligraphy Brunch! Everyone seemed to really enjoy the workshops, and despite my crazy perfectionist self, I was really pleased with how everything turned out! So pleased actually, that I’m doing another series of workshops on February 7th and 8th. You can learn more here, or sign up here!

favorite posts of 2014 I’ve been doing color me monday since the very beginning of this blog, and this series reached a milestone this year! In November, we celebrated 100 editions of color me monday with a week long giveaway series! It was really fun for me to put together, and I worked with some fantastic sponsors: poppin, baggu, brika, moo, and fotostrap!

favorite posts of 2014 Also in November, I was approached by the fine folks at Martha Stewart to write a post about their monthly blogger box! I’m not gonna lie, I’m still not quite over the shock of being asked to blog for thee Martha. It was super fun to open that box of goodies, take photos and then share with all of you!

favorite posts of 2014 Last but not least was our participation in the Rodale’s holiday catalog as models! While the photoshoot actually happened over the summer, my darling husband and I got to play the part of a couple getting ready for a holiday party (and wearing rodales of course). It was fun and exciting, an all around great experience!

Like the martha experience, this was another opportunity that really knocked me off my feet…you like my blog and you want me to do what?!! I’m so grateful for the connections I’ve made and experiences I’ve had thanks to this little blog. It’s really pretty astounding how much has happened to me over the past 2.5 years because of this space. I’m also very grateful to you for your encouragement

thanks, Traci! I’ll let you in on a little secret…since the shoot took place in the middle of summer, there was no real misletoe to be found! It was actually sage!
